This is Unity Manor resident, RD, who’s lived at the site for almost two years. Senior Manager, Nicole Webber, says this very creative individual uses different paints to create textures that give his paintings a 3D effect when completed. RD had the honor of sharing his work with the community recently through a show at the Westmount branch of the Edmonton Public Library
Guess who this safe but unusual passenger is…
Gwen, Navigator at the Medical Detox Unit, is transporting a mannequin donated by the Edmonton Food Bank. With safety at the forefront, Gwen transported the passenger without incident and the mannequin is currently being used by a staff member who often knits and sews for others in the community. Kelvin Wright, who contributed this unusual image reminds us that “One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure! Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose. Reminding us that helping others is in our nature just as mother earth takes care of us, we need to also take care of her!”

Catgrass was a popular choice of seeds during the recent Spring Equinox Indigenous Staff Workshop. At the workshop cat ‘parents’ confirmed that having a year-round supply of Catgrass helps keep both cats and substitutes like artificial plants healthy.
