Jackson’s De-escalation Tips

Jackson Heraid has a strong fan base at GSS. Anyone who attended his De-escalation Training or enjoyed his presentation at our recent Training Conference will understand why. Here are his 10 tips on how to help de-escalate and communicate in tough client situations.

 Currently Jackson is the Community Initiatives Manager for the Maskwacis Ambulance Authority and lecturer for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. In his teaching, Jackson draws on years of frontline experience in paramedic emergency services, public health, harm reduction, and program development.
